What Success Looks Like

  • Once hired, will be intentional about developing the business case for a development position or similar

  • Establish economic development role of CEO

  • Maintain/improve relationship with the City of Davenport

  • Grow the Museum’s footprint in the Quad City area and beyond

  • Take advantage of and be aware of the best use of board members time and skills

  • Expand revenue generating opportunities outside of funding

  • Improve relationships with other non-profits

Education and Past Experience

  • Four year degree

  • Three-five years in an executive role

  • Direct accountability for P&L with a minimum $3million budget

  • Chaired a non-profit board

  • Financial acumen, with ability to make solid financial decisions with the data available and use the data to make better decisions moving forward

  • Ability to balance mission and margin

  • Strong organizational and leadership abilities

  • Operations and fundraising

  • Demonstrated speaking and presentation skills

  • Experience selling something experiential – “edutainment”

  • Marketing experience – can analyze and understand marketing plans

  • Executive level experience

  • Community involvement

  • Background in operations
