As a member of the Senior Management Team, the Chief Financial Officer is responsible for understanding the Bank’s overall strategy and objectives while formulating and executing bank-wide strategies.

The Chief Financial Officer directs the fiscal functions of the corporation in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board and other regulatory and advisory organizations in accordance with financial management techniques and practices appropriate within the banking industry.

The CFO will provide leadership and coordination of all financial planning and reporting, budget development and management, investment portfolio management, liquidity monitoring and reporting, and oversight and preparation of ALM. This individual will also interact with examiners and regulators, and provide direction and management to the Accounting and IT Departments. The CFO will handle a myriad of both tactical and strategic projects for the Bank.

Past Experience

  • CFO at a smaller bank, more than $100 million or Controller at a larger bank - single senior controller

  • Bachelor in Accounting or Finance

  • Master’s Degree/MBA preferred

  • Certified Public Accountant preferred

  • Five years minimum experience as CFO, Comptroller or similar with a community bank

  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and applicable federal/state regulations

  • Strong analytical ability with effective written and verbal communication skills required

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • General Ledger software

  • Mergers and Acquisitions experience

  • Strong working knowledge of technology applications relative to position

  • Experience with financial and regulatory reporting, taxes and compliance
